Capitol Reef, Grand Staircase and Escalante State Park

Waking up at Arches was so peaceful and beautiful.  Gerry has been great at taking pictures.  After packing up the car (we are getting really good at it!!), we headed further southwest in Utah.  We drove to Capitol Reef which is another National Park, then drove through Grand Staircase National Monument Park which had crazy roads on top of mountains some of which were only as wide as two lanes with no guardrails and a very, very, very long way to fall!!!  We were going to do this drive last night and thanks to Shannon we didn't and that was a good thing because it was scary enough during the day - can't imagine doing that at night.  We then set up camp at Escalante State Park and had dinner at the Escalante Outfitters.
