i would kiss that genius who had idea to make the escalator to the hill or you would have "soul in the nose" to get to Guell :o)
Park Guell , one of the masterpieces of great Antonio Gaudi, is beautiful oasis in Barcelona - if you try to find paradise for eyes and soul that is this place. Park is  made by order of wealthy count Eusebi Guell who was the admirer of the English garden-cities and wanted to create a residential district on the land he owned in part of Barcelona called Montana Pelada. Gaudi worked on this unique project from 1900 to 1914. and his great mind with his vision really made part of paradise on the hill that was just dry empty part of land. From 1922. park become open for public so everyone could enjoy in this beauty. We spend almost 5 hours in Guell, wandering around and relaxing every part of soul here :o) In one moment I wished empty park just for 5 minutes, to feel this beauty without all people around, just to hear sound of nature and nothing else. But it was impossible to do that so I try to "close" my iner ear from outside sounds and let myself to enjoy... Every part of this amazing place lives with nature, Gaudi made perfect unit of all build parts with landscape - even the breanch seat made of stone in anatomic form is so soft when you sit on as you siting on cloud, sound impossible, but it's true, you gonna believe me when you try one day :o)
