After my freaky experience with La Pedrera :o)  Casa Batllo was like "little colorful baby" :o) Again Gaudi and his amazing imagination shown himself through this "flowing" house, 'cause Batllo is like aquarium with all those shapes like wave, "fish eyes" glittering above some doors, "fish bones" on the banister ... everything looks like you are in the insides of some big whale and you flowing around ... everything vibrate and live here, and the photos speaks more than a thousand words …

Casa Batllo is a building restored by Antoni Gaudi and Josep Maria Jujol - built in the 1877. and remodelled from 1905 to 1907 - located at Passeig de Gracia no. 43.

The local name for the Batllo is La Casa dels ossos - House of the bones and all remind on.

The little balconies have been compared to masks and the scales of a fish, and façade is decorated with a mosaic made of broken ceramic tiles.

A fabulous tiled roof with Gaudi's trademark elaborately shaped chimneys has been compared to a reptilian creature, the backbone of a gigantic dinosaur, the dragon killed by St. George (Sant Jordi being the patron saint of Catalan).

All this and more is in the connection with nature, Gaudi’s never ending story  of “being man = being nature” … so, be the tree, the wave, the fish, the river that flow to eternity … be whatever you want, as far as your imagination can reach the sky …
