This week in particular my Spanish has improved a heap, I am speaking more confidently; I can figure out how to use some words for mental problems in Spanish.  For example in conversation class today we had a 10 question survey, what is your personality quiz and I could do it all and explain and interpret responses.  I am just on the edge of taking off with my Spanish, but I am about to leave.  I am pleased with the progress I am now finally making But I feel that with 6 to 10 weeks more I could really get on top of the language.

Two things have helped, one of the other Spanish-speaking members at my house has moved out and that means my confidence does not get dented everyday and also 2 other people in my class are no longer in my class disrupting my listening and the flow of the class.  They spoke so loudly while the teacher was speaking and in another language that I often lost track

My last day tomorrow at the school and I am very sad.  It has been a wonderful experience.  For all the things that have happened good and bad and indifferent I am glad for the experience.  I will be a different person I think in some ways and hopefully a better person.

I have been watching others on their travels I have learnt some things about communications with home - if I had known then this what I would have done

- take a small laptop with Wifi connection and webcam

- have broadband at home for your loved ones

- once a week talk via webcam and see each other too

- use skype on the laptop

- have a better fone plan use some of the fone cards I now know exist in Spain like Jazz card.
