It is wonderful in Malaga (Andalucia) --- everything is ok here for me.  It is over 40 degrees, very hot, a bit humid.  I have taken on a lot of liquid today.  The climb up the hill to the castle took a lot out of me and I did what Monica and I did in Toledo went to McDonalds for the air conditioning a beer and salad much better.

Sat at the beach for a bit in the shade but it was hot there so the birthplace of Picasso museum was better.  There is a good fan in this place so I am using it.

My friend Penny back in New Zealand says that my English is not very good now and it is noticable when I write my emails back home that my writing style has changed.  I do worry that I will not recognise the Kiwi accent for the first few days.  I have found that if I speak English with Americans and others here in Spain they cannot understand my English and that it has been better to use Spanish.  My vowels just are not understandable.  I feel caught in linguistic limbo.

I think I have spent about the right amount of time here it is not a pretty city but good to be back here the people are far more friendly.

I find a good internet cafe to send emails back home telling them that this city is pronounced maLAga is the pronunciation.  Ends in a vowel then the penultima syllable.
