view of pool from our balcony
After an uneventful flight we arrived in Puerto Vallarta. It’s so beautiful! Lush, green, hot and very, very humid! I can take that. I’m not going to complain. We get our luggage and start heading out to find a taxi to take us to our hotel. We will be staying at the Sheraton. We find a taxi driver that will fit all eight of us. So we pack ourselves and our luggage into his van and we are off! We start talking to him asking him question like where are the best places to go, things to do, things to see. There are a lot of things that can be done there. We then ask him if he knows where the COSTCO is at because we need to purchase groceries. He is the best because he offers to take us to the store! We are all happy because this man is super nice! Where would you find a taxi man that will offer to take you somewhere out of the way at no charge? Well, he got a great tip! He even pushed the cart! He was awesome!
We finally got to the Sheraton and checked in to our hotel suites.
someone burped
We got 2 suites and an entire hallway to ourselves! It was awesome! The views were of the city strip and of the sea. Beautiful! Then we all decided who will be sleeping where and so forth. Then we all started to unpack. After all of that was taken care of we went to our main kitchen and sat around the table which happened to have eight chairs! That was perfect since there were eight of us! And then the crazy shenanigans began! We each got a beer and started drinking. The girls were drinking micheladas, which is beer and tomato juice with lemon and salt and sometime chili. I am not into beer, but they fixed one up for me and I am not about to turn it down. The taste, to me at least, was of tomato soup. After that one I was drinking cranberry juice and vodka. Yes, we came prepared! We also started talking about what we would be doing for the rest of the week. What activities and so forth. The best part was the drinking game we played. Whenever someone burped everyone had to put their thumb on their forehead. The last one to do so would have to finish up their drink no matter how full or empty it was. This was a really fun game! But man, can we all burp! LOUD!
We then got ready to go out since this was our only Saturday in Puerto Vallarta.
Diane, Cynthia and myself
I really wanted to go to the Zoo. It’s this bar/nightclub that I went to 14 years when I was 14! So when we were all ready, we jumped in two taxis and headed to El Malecon which is basically the boardwalk by the sea. There were so many people! It was really crowded! We walked by several clubs and bars but we ended up going to the Zoo. When I saw the sign, I was excited! I couldn’t believe that it was still open! It brought back so many memories of my other time in PV. We had a great time dancing the night away! The only thing that wasn’t good was that the drinks were pretty pricey! We didn’t like that. But the club/bar has a cage where you can dance in. Cynthia was going in between the bars and just hanging off of them. I was told that some employee asked her not to be hanging from the bars and her reply to them was “No!” and she kept on hanging on the bars. I didn’t witness it, but I am pretty sure it was true. The club had fake animals all around. They even have a mascot which is a gorilla. I wonder how old that gorilla suit is because it was the same thing 14 years ago. We left the bar/club maybe around 1:30 or so in the morning and were walking past this one club that was playing really good music.

The charge was $15 so we skipped it and went back to the room to sleep.
