Rock Lobstah!
After researching some things to do, I found out that Southern Maine was only 45 minutes north of my office. We headed up to a coastal town called Ogunquit right after work since Katherine was picking me up anyways. After we got off I95, we passed a place called "Lobsters in the Rough" and decided to check it out. It turned out to be an order at the counter type of place, but the lobster was super cheap at only $21 for 1 and 1/2 pounds. The lobster was pretty good, but the chowder was dissapointing.
After we ate, we continued on to the main strip of Ogunquit, which turned out to be really quaint. We walked the strip and picked up some souvenirs. After indulging on some excellent peppermint ice cream, we caught a free comedy show. The bar that it was at turned out to be a gay bar (we think), but we stayed anyways because the comedian was OK. We left after a bit to take a walk on the beach. It was chilly and drizzling, but still enjoyable. We then dropped into the local candy shop to pick up some goodies before heading back to Medford.
