Located in the east of France (1h30 by train from Paris) in the area called La Lorraine Nancy, mainly for Place Stanislas, appears as a must see to me if you are in the area. This royal place is unique, I read it is considered as the most beautiful royal place in Europe and it doesn't surprise me!
Unfortunatly, the museums I wanted to visit were closed. Whatever, I was not so disappointed as the sun was shining (more than 25°... yeah ! :), I could enjoy a great walk in the old town and a pic nic in the nice Parc de la Pépinière.
Great destination.
