This blog reviews the short trips I do in my country, France. It is not the story of one trip but several stories of different destinations (same colour, same trip :p)

Rennes, to visit a friend

Brittany has the reputation to be always rainy. I can't say it is the truth... however we had such a crap day that we could not go anywhere : it was raining hard and so cold !!!!!

We finally decided to visit a new place with museums and exhibitions : Les Champs Libres

I remember many rainy days in Bretagne and at least as many gorgeous clear and sunny days :) But when it is raining, indeed it becomes all grey and dreary.

Les champs libres
In a new futuristic building, Les Champs Libres are composed of a big library (6 floors), a scientific place (a planetarium and a thematic exhibition), the Museum of Brittany and some temporary exhibitions.

With a touristic point of view, I don’t think it is a must-see in Brittany. However, it can be a good plan B for curious people, in case of very crap weather in order to kill few hours in the “capital” of Brittany by learning more about the culture, the area, the History, etc.

Good advice, I will keep it in mind :)
