Port Guillaume
August 13, 2008
Port Guillaume is a pleasure harbour with brand new houses built in the 90s around, Port-Guillaume is a kind of modern town with an old and impressive Norman style. Original.
The walk was nice, leading to the beach just near Cabourg on the English Channel... Windy along the port, too windy to carry on further once on the beach because the sand was going straight on the face to go to Cabourg!
Paradoxically, the port of Dives-sur-Mer, is full of history as it was for example the starting point of the crusade of William the Conqueror (William is Guillaume in French), for the thrown of England.
I took some picture while driving through the typical town.
