The Morning during day three!
I my alarmclock went off at 06.15 in the morning..... I was realy tired and I had two hours sleep that night! Rowena and Ket were at my place helping me out afther the showers! I had to put everything in my car for the catering on board! The night before and the moring I made a few calles to make sure everybody knew the place and time! During the Humpreys diner I had a map and the people knew were to go and with who to drive and I was realy happy about it! I had to be at the trainstation at 07.30 in the morning to pick a few up from the "Oranje van Eden Hotel" Brett was very helpfull as always and was a taxidriver! I had to pick up Narrie and Wilco, but they could sheck out fther 9AM... Brett was taking them with him and a few more! Rowena and I drove with two cars to the Campanile Hotel, not the number one hotel afthert this meet-up hahaha! Could bath, no 24 service, problems with checking in and out grrrr! Nooooo review for this hotel, but the Oranje van Eden hotel was the best! If you come to Leeuwarden, book soon for the "Oranje van Eden Hotel"
I had to do a few things in Leeuwarden, so Rowena went already to Stavoren to get there with the cateringstuff in the car and great help from Jos! He was realy great, even thinking with me before the Friesland meet-up even started, also Alex! Thank you guys! I had say goodbey to Joost and Suat and his friend drive up with me to Stavoren nearby the Ijselmeer! We came there in time and I had also foods and drinks in my car and Grace, John and Mickey! I had to bring the stuff to the sailboot first and everybody was there on time! It was so great that everybody was so helpfull, patient and very sweet.
The Adventure on Board!
The boot sailed out afther 10 a clock and we were here somewere 9 AM.... I had a talk with the sailermen about the route we are going to take and how it works here on the sailboot! ..... The TB members thought it was going to be all relaxing heyheyhey.,.... haha, no they had to help later on...It was a big ailboot and it can have a max. f 30 people on board and I had 27 people on board! Femke was a girl that want to enjoy the sailboottrip last minute. After breakfast we went above deck to have some basic training on knots and sails etc.
We left the harbour on the motor and then raised the sails. There was a good bit of wind and the sun was shining so it was a very good start to the day. Some of us chatted, others just sat or lay down and enjoyed the view and the weather, it was all very relaxing. We crossed the IJsselmeer from Stavoren to Koudum and saw lots of other ships out, some like the one we were sailing on, others more like speedboats. Around 11 a clock it was time for the Frisian "Oranje cake" with more coffee and they on dek.
During the sailboottrip I had to go to the Kitchen to prepaire lunch, but I could no be there that long heyhey! There were a lote of golves and it made me a litle saesick.. When I went up, it was ok.... We stopped in Koudum for lunch which I had to prepare in turns as our stomachs were not as strong as we thought with help from Rowena, even TB members like Patricia and John and Koosje were very helpfull!... When we got to Koudum we had to get some other people to move their boats first as there wasn't enough room for ours! Then we had breadrolls with ham and cheese, rolls with mozarella and tapenade (red pesto) and raisinrolls with cheese. To drink there was milk and orange juice. Short afther lunch I had a litle Frisian Berenburg drink with 30% alcohol in a small glass! It was a strong and strange tast, but I like it more mixed with coke or 7-up!
After lunch I Cleaned up the catering stuff and it was time for wine! I was ownstarge for a while and everybody was saying that the weather went bad, rain and more windy and dark! When we left we were all wondering when the rain would start, the wind was getting stronger and stronger.
We got back to Stavoren a bit earlier than expected and we talked for a little while longer but most people were so wet and tired they all went back to their home or hotel.
Afther the sailboottrip I said goodbye to most of the TB members who went back home! It was sooooo great! Afther that I got my baggs and left overs and went to my car! I went to Leeuwarden with three people in the car and I had two times the bride open for the sailboottourists.
Rowena went home afther diner, because she had to work urlie tomorrow.
