Afterwashing up, we caught a cab over to Kulkulcan (a large mall about 10 minutes away from our hotel. This mall had awesome lifesized statues of ballerinas all so graceful and beautiful) where we kind of wandered around to find the meet up place for the ATV'ing trip (which was infront of a snazzy Mexican restaurant ?Marakame?) After some disagreement over prices for the trip (over the phone and online trips were listed as cheaper than the check in man said) and arguing between the two go between parties (the booking agency ended up paying most of the difference) we were banded and hopping on a bus to Loma Bonita the ranch for ATV'ing and horseback riding.
After a quick tutorial on how to work the ATV's we hopped on and started our tour through their ranch and close surrounding area. We zoomed down super dusty dirt paths with rocks, bumps, and mud in a long line, while the horseback riders took a different route to meet us at the midway point at the beach. We went all over the wooded area until we came to the beach were we did some long stretches and kicked up all kinds of sand. Unfortunately at one of these straightways, I was gunning it and hit a small patch of sand which immediately offset my ATV and i went plowing into the ocean. My ATV immediately cut off and I waited for the guide to come and bail me out. I had my camera in my pocket and I got wet, thank god it didn't break!!
So when we arrive there are quite a few people gathered for the excursion.
So after we returned to the Ranch I jumped into the pool (too wash off all the dirt!) and then sat down for the included meal.
After getting back to the hotel, we showered up and got ready to go out to dinner. We walked over to an area of restaurants we had driven by in the taxi and decided on Casa Tequila. There were quite a few people sitting outside and the ambiance looked nice so we decided to give it a try. Service was excellent, and the food was even better! Our waiter was attentive, funny, and the food came out in a timely fashion. I got the ribeye.
After dinner we were pretty exhausted from the long day and headed back to our hotel to go to sleep early.
