Out for a drive in Oslo
July 1, 2008
I met up with Jeff and Steph at Tollbugata in Oslo where Jeff was staying at a pention. I got there a little too early so i went inside the cafe that was connected to the hostel. I ordered some tea and before i knew it Steph had entered the cafe as well. We sat down outside waiting for Jeff to show up who of course showed up a short time after us. I didn't get to finish my tea but no problem there's always some hot water some other place where i can get some tea.
Since i had little time this day due to having to go to work i had my car with me. There were no complaints from the other two about that lol..we drove up to Hollmenkollen for the nice view over Oslo as well as bending our necks to look up at the famous Ski jump. It was a clear blue day so you could see all over Oslo. Looking up at the ski jump non of us were envious of the jumpers lol....
We went into the store to look at souveniers and tried on a few hats. i had no idea they sold boxers or g-strings with the norwegian flag on it and NO i didn't buy one of those lol...there were a lot of moose things there but i see enough of them around work so i didn't feel the need for that either hahaha
Jeff bought his thing and we moved on back to my car driving thowards Bygdøy where the museums are. Viking, Kon-tiki and Fram as well as some eating places.
We had lunch there before entering the Kon-tiki museum which is tiny and you can finish walking through there in 5 min. Well at least i can :)
It was a nice little meet up with the two and as time went by i drove them back into town to Aker Brygge while i myself had to go to work:( I would have loved to have spent the day with the two of them but maybe someother time. Steph will always return to Oslo so that won't be a problem...
