Arrived in NZ

| Had a very easy flight over with Qantas to Wellington, where we were met at the airport by our hire car (Steve the Starlet). We arranged rental on-line with Go Rentals, and they had the car (and driver) waiting at the airport for us. She then drove us out to the north of Wellington to do the paperwork, so very easy for us to then go on to Otaki, to Melissa's sister's place. Had an easy first couple of days with Bronwyn (M's sister) wandering around the discount outlets of Otaki (very nice!),doing some shopping and visiting our friend Julie in Waikanae. We went back to our favourite restaurant for lunch on Sunday, The Winemaker's Daughter, just down the road from Otaki. The food is delicious, the service great and the prices cheap. Spent the rest of the time watching CSI and Rex dvd's, so quite relaxing! |
