Packing and heading out
June 20, 2008
This is a real expedition..... One I have wanted to do for a long time.
The Faroes and Iceland are 2 places I have had on my wanted list for a long time.
And with the purchase of my new landrover, what better excuse to go try it out but venture into the wilds of Iceland and the Faroes.
My travbuddy friend Ling (omeprazole) joined me for the tour ... she was studying german in Dusseldorf and was keen to see the wild arctic! So she joined me for the tour.
The trip took us over 6000km over 3 weeks from Germany, through Denmark, across the North Sea to the Faroe Islands and onto Iceland.
We met a lot of fun people and visited some amazing places ....
But first we had to get there ... and that took a lot of planning and preparation to ensure we had the gear we needed and the car was ready to travel that journey too.
** I have added some video to this blog of the trip **
