Cool fountain. Pamplona, Spain.
We woke up at 6am, got ready, checked out and left for the train station, arriving pretty early. We got sandwiches for the ride and got on. We were on our way to Pamplona
, San Fermin! We had no idea where we were gonna stay, hoping to find a nice park bench to sleep on... The train ride was 3hrs long, I slept about 1.5hrs of it and as soon as we arrived, Victor approached us and offered us to stay in his flat for 28 Euros/night... We took it. Aaron and I had to share a full size mattress which was not very comfortable at all, but it sure beat sleeping outside! We shared the room with two Italian guys who snored like crazy and kept making a "pew" sound that sounded like a laser gun... We went into town after settling in and met with Hayat (who I met on here, aich
), she was really cool and we were going to do the run together! We then randomly ran into Alfred and Kelvin who I was planning on meeting up with at San Fermin, but we never figured out the logistics of actually meeting up (they didn't have a phone) but we just saw them and the 5 of us began the San Fermin adventure.
Plaza De Castillo. Pamplona, Spain.
.. which entailed copious amounts of drinking. Alcohol was SO cheap there, we couldn't believe it... We sat in the main plaza and mixed booze and just sat around and drank and had such a great time, we called it a night around midnight, it was raining, so we ran back to Victor's apartment. Pamplona is a very weird city streetwise, it didn't seem to make sense, but somehow I was never lost, as long as I knew the general direction in which we needed to go, we were fine...
