Day 13:
I woke up around 7AM, went down for some breakfast and then we left for our group photo at the eiffel tower. Having already been to Paris, I wasn't particularly interested in seeing stuff so I split away from the group with Jay and Jackie for Versailles. We got there pretty quickly using the metro, took about 45 minutes. First thing that hit me when we got to the palace, this thing is friggin HUGE. We walked around it for like 2 hours, got tired, and headed back. We stopped by a McDonald's on the way to grab some lunch and this was the nicest McDonald's ever. It's right across the street from the Versailles metro station. They served beer, the booths were super nice, it was just a shock comparing it to McDonald's back home.

We then went to the louvre. Checked out the egyptian wing, the mona lisa and then went on our way to the Arch de Triumph. We were beat, headed back to the hotel, stopped by liquor store with Jay to get some beer and then kicked back for a few hours in the room. It was our last night together as a group, the contiki trip was ending and the bus was heading back to London the following morning. So while some people were at the Moulin Rouge show, everyone decided to spend the last night together in the bar/club right next to it, "O'Sullivan's". The place was pretty whatever, nothing special, reasonably priced drinks. Almost everyone from our group was there, short of a few... I had some beers, had some good conversation with everyone on the trip, we made "reunion" plans, haha.

About half way through, one of my buddies, Kelvin, was craving a smoke, so we stepped out to try and find him some cigarettes, we walked around the block and couldn't find anywhere that would sell them, so I decide to ask some guy, he responds "Cigarettes? oh yes, come with me!" and he leads us about a block and into some place with no name. The second we step in, there's half naked girls pulling us by our hands to get us in deeper, and right away, I knew where I was taken, turned a complete 180 and walked out. Shortly after stepping outside, it hit me that I don't think Kelvin knew what was going on, or maybe just too drunk to realize where he was taken. I waited outside for 5 or so minutes and he didn't come out. I should have gone in for him, but I didn't. Instead, I went back to O'Sullivan's and told his friend from home who was on the trip what went down. He started calling him, but right as he was doing that, Kelvin came back, telling us what I already knew and bitching that he just paid 10Euros to have some half naked girl put a cigarette in his mouth and light it for him, it was pretty hilarious. We went back inside the bar, said our goodbyes, and left for the hotel. Got back, hung out in the lobby for a little bit and finally, around 4AM, we all went to sleep. Part one of the trip is complete, now onto the crazy adventure known as part two.
