Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale...

Based on the decision to go to bed at a decent hour last night, I was still able to wake up with more than enough time before the meeting time for today's trip to Stavoren to start the boat trip. Cleaned up and headed downstairs to catch up on the online addicition, then wandered over to sit with Micky and Alex eating their breakfasts. Others started to straggle in, including Wendy and Ket (who I was supposed to be picking up at the Campianelle around 8. What was he doing here? Well...read Wendy's blog for some details on that one...
Gradually everyone arrived and cars started leaving. In the end, only Alex wound up taking the train...and even that was not necessary as I thought I was picking up Wilco and Narrie at the Campianelle and it turned out I was just leading the way, so I had room in my car.
Everyone met up in the free parking lot around 1 km from the harbor. I had bought the beer for the boat trip so we offloaded that into Wendy's car and then she drove the remaining provisions up to the boat. I went with her and helped unload while the others walked up to the boat.
Everyone has arrived and coffee was served. I explored the boat a little (didn't count, but like 20 bunks, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, etc. Wow!) and arrived back in the galley in time for roll call. All present and accounted for! 27 passengers, 3 crew, and 1 dog.
We mustered on deck for some house rules and basic seamanship lessons (the rabbit comes out of the hole, around the tree, and back into the hole) and around 10AM we set saiil for the open Frisian seas. Yo ho!
