Travelling to Tampere
Just a blog to remember were I was (for the moment) and that it was raining all day :(
Unfortunately the day started with rain. We packed our bags and went to the busstop. We were a bit worried, since the busses never seemed to be there at the scheduled times and we didn't want to wait in the rain. But we where lucky almost at the busstop we saw a bus coming and the driver saw us too and waited for us. At the market place we had to search again for the right busstop, for the bus to the trainstation. When we arrived here and bought our ticket we still had almost an hour till the train would go, so we got some cofee and tea. Whe had to walk to our train in the rain and ofcourse we had seats in the last carriage. After almost two hours we arrived in Tampere, through the rain we walked to our hostel which is located across the street from the cathedral. We could leave our bags at the hostel in the luggage room, since the check in time was 16.00 and we arrived there around 12.00. So we walked to the center, where Inge bought an umbrella :) We walked around and did some window shopping, ate lunch (at Stockmann), some more shopping, drank coffee and tried to read a finnish newspaper.
Then it was time to check in at the hostel, we had a three person room to our selves. For dinner we went back to the center where we checked out the pizza buffet, not the best pizza ever, but it was good with a large salad bar, drinks, icecream and not expensive.
The hostel is a new hostel, although there used to be a hostel at the same place. There was a kitchen at our floor, not very big but it had everything you need. It was a shame that there was only a small place to sit near the kitchen. But next to the reception (two floors below our room) there was a living room, with a computer that had free internet acces. The bathroom was good, but our room was next to the bathroom but luckily for us the other peolpe didn't get up very early :)
