4 nights in the west
Karuizawa is one of the most popular mountain resort in Japan, and this hotel is the largest hotel in Karuizawa. It has two main building, west and east, and a bunch of cottages in a vast area, more over, a spa resort, hot spring, golf courses and tennis courts are also in the area. There are 3 free buses connecting east, west and cottages. The whole area is at the south side of Karuizawa station, the opposite side to the Karuizawa town.
We lived in a room in the west building. The room was comfortable, with wooden furniture and comfortable bed, 24hour hot water, washlet toillet, tv(digital, with BS channels). However, they dont have free internet in the room, LAN cable is available for 1000yens/night.
Actualy because we had a student discount and overall expanse was paid by the university, so we dont have much information about price. But i'm sure its hard to get a room below 20000yens/night.
There are 3 restaurants, a gift shop in the west building. Breakfast or lunch are from 3000yens and dinner is from 5000yens.
