Wat Arun
Another delicious breakfast at the No. 1 restaurant. Used the internet for a bit to upload blog and pictures. We thought we would do a bit of sightseeing and so headed to Wat Arun (The temple of Dawn AKA The temple of boom), a massive temple area in the centre of Bangkok. A pretty awesome and beautiful place. Our visit, however, was interrupted by an absolutely massive downpour and the loudest thunder we had ever heard. The lightening actually struck the top of one of the temples as were sheltering under the one next to it. Scary stuff! MC was quivering with fear and refused to come with us to find a taxi home until it was over. After a good 40 minutes we decided to make a run for it as it was almost over. Got home and freshened up and then went out for delicious street food (kebabs and phad thai). Then it was onto some street drinks from a mobile bar on the Khao San Road where they played loud music and served cheap but delicious drinks to crowds of travellers and Thais alike.
