Great summer stay!

Bournemouth has been my workplace for 3 weeks the last 3 summers,- and it is an amazing city. Situated on the southcoast of England, it had beautiful beaches, a great big park, plenty of cafe's, pubs and nightclubs, and last but not least lots of shopping!
There are lots of activities to attend if you would like an active stay: surfing, coastal walk, go cart, hot air baloon ride, all kinds of watersports, quaser, bowling, waterpark (splash down), take a walk through Christchurch, beachvolleyball, miniature golf, movies, and lots of museums.
You have a lot of good shopping downtown, and also at the shoppingcenter Castlepoint.
Getting around is easy, there are busses going everywhere!!
The city is situated 2,5 hours by train from London, it is quite possible to do excurtions if you would like to go there. Southhampton, Salisbury, StoneHenge, Isle of White, Bath and Brighton between 1 and 3 hours ride sfrom from B'mouth. Been all thiose places, and especially I enjoyed Salisbury (market day!!) and Stone Henge.
Accomendation is fair- if you stay upstairs in a pub it will be quite cheep! It is also fun... And, the pubs closes between 11 pm and 1 am, so it will not be too much noice.
Getting to know the locals has been a pleasure, they are warm and inviting, and can't resist a party :) The only downside with the city, as I see it, is all the hen- and stag parties comming down in weekends. But who cares if you have a good time!
