So, since our flight was about 30 minutes late to arrive at the gate, we thought it was a great idea to start off the weekend with a few beers at an airport bar. Somehow that turned into rounds after rounds of vodka-drinks on the plane. I know I, for one, bought two rounds for the 5 girls on our flight, and all the other girls bought at least one, some two. You do the math. I don't want to.
Finally in Vegas, luckily the the plane did not have to make an emergency landing and kick off five unruly passengers.
Our dinner reservation was quite early so we could make our O-show, which I highly recommend. Last time in Vegas, I saw Ka, and both the shows are fantastic, although I may have snoozed off during Ka for just a minute or two courtesy of a huge dinner and a half a bottle of red wine paired up with staying up and drinking for a few days. Here is my first vegas tip: If you want to stay awake during a show (for which you probably paid more than $100), go early on in your trip. That is the first night! The rest of the time in Vegas, you have no idea what time it is, or if it's day or night, and even if you are revved up enough to stay awake during the show, you'll probably miss the show-time by at least a few hours, maybe even by a whole day.
The night club of choice for night 1 was Pure at the Caesar's Palace. And what a goof choice it turned out to be. Upon our entrance, we were escorted to an all-expenses paid VIP-lounge on the roof top patio where we were entertained by two bartenders. We never saw the bottoms of our glasses - I much prefer the bartender to come to me to fill my glass instead of having to try to get his attention in a crowded bar. Definitely service A++++ The music was great, the rooftop packed full of people, and the view from the roof magnificent. The club knows how to take care of their customers!
