The Beautiful Karlovy Vary

This was a trip we took with some friends after we first moved to Germany.  I had never heard of Karlovy Vary at the time and didn't know what to expect but it more than met my expectations to say the least.  This was the place Queen Latifiah made popular with her movie Last Holiday.  Although we didn't stay at the Hotel Pup, we did stay in a hotel probably just as nice called the Hotel Central (which was just down the street from the Pup).  This is a spa town and these hotels cater to spa clients so they're pretty upscale.  At the time, the dollar was much stronger so the price still was not bad for this little splurge.  The hotel was just gorgeous.  We had a little suite with a view overlooking the downtown's beautiful buiding and river.  If you like crystal and garnets, this a good place to go shopping.  I would really like to go back here someday and explore this town a little more.
