This is one of our family trips we took to Ireland.  On this particular trip, we traveled with my in-laws.  This was their first visit and like us, they can't wait to go back again.  There is so much to do and the landscape is just breathtaking.  The Ring of Kerry, although touristy, is still worth braving the narrow winding roads full of coaches.  The little towns along the way are so quaint and the people are so friendly.  The other tourist hotspots are the Blarney Castle and the Muckross House (which of course we had to check out).  The castle and the manor themselves are full of history and are just beautiful.  The grounds on these two locations are beautiful as well with lots of interesting things to explore.  The Blarney Castle has these glens with various rock formations throughout the grounds while the Muckross House has a reconstructed village with thatched roof cottages and farms you can explore.  We really enjoyed ourselves at these places along with some the other such as the Cliffs of Moher.  Although we didn't get a chance on this trip, we had gone horseback riding on a previous trip and really enjoyed that as well.  Just writing about this makes me want to book a trip back there now!
