Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda via BREAKAWAY

We pulled into Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda, the first stop on our excursion today. Since this was British soil, the first mate had collected our passports and customs forms in advance ( We had to list the boat "Breakaway" as our "address" while staying on the island!) and we had about a 10 minute break to explore the shops there or take a restroom break while the crew checked us in. I found an ATM machine there, but was still unable to get cash from it! This could be a problem! When the crew announced that we were all set, we boarded a bus-type vehicle, which looked like a larger version of the taxis on St John. This vehicle was packed to the gills, so much so that Tyler wound up having to sit in the front seat with the driver! They had a little trouble getting the bus going... it stalled 5 or 6 times before it finally stayed running! While we were waiting for it to get going, I noticed a bank across the street with two ATM machines. I'll have to check those out when we get back!
The bus took us through what looked like a poor, run down area, a mixture of residential and commercial, with uneven, bumpy roads, and various animals wandering about, goats and chickens and the like. It took maybe 10 or 15 minutes to get to our destination.... the famous Baths of Virgin Gorda!
