Besides its rich history, Canakkale has a wonderful nature...You can swim in Guzelyali which is 12 kms away from the city center. Canakkale is a very favorite place for windsurfers with its never-stopping wind. You can take the minibuses leaving frequently for Guzelyali.

If you visit the Lagun Lake on the way to Saros Bay after passing by Kucuk Anafartalar village in Gallipoli Peninsula, you will find yourself among flamingos, wild ducks, gooses and doves.

Saros is a place where divers frequently visit. You will see fisherman wine shops along the coast next to the Gallipoli harbor. Canakkale is an unequaled city for the journey-lovers. And Troy! Troy is in Hisarlik near Tesvikiye village in Intepe, 30 kms away from the city center. Do not leave the city without seeing the Trojan Horse!

Canakkale is full of museums exhibiting the traces of its rich history. You can see the fossils, remains from the Bronze Age and Canakkale ceramics in Canakkale Archeological Museum. Some important places to see are Salim Mutlu Savas Memories Museum, Camyayla Ataturk House, Ayvacik-Adatepe House Museum, Mehmet Aga Inn and Bayramic Hadimogullari Inn.
