By two in the afternoon, we had finished what Carlos would take five days for us to finish. He was aboslutly floored at how quickly we worked to mix the concrete and pou the floor. So much so he was gracious enough to take us to the river to swim. He even found a brother in the neighbourhood to take us there in his truck so we wouldn't have to walk that long distance there and back, what a sweetheart! The drive was incredbily bumpy and 13 of us were piled on top of each other in the back of a pick up truck. It wasn't super fun, but it was an experience for sure. When we got to where we were going we had to cross a person's pineapple feild and there were about 15 signs saying that if we stole we'd be shot, al in spanish of course. No one stole, that was for sure. When we got to the place where we would leave our stuff to go swimming, our breaths were taken away. The river was so beautiful and most of us jumped right in. Lucky for me I have a waterproof camera so I got to take some pretty great pictures of the river. Oh man, I hate the fact that I'm writing about Costa Rica months after the fact, it really makes me want to go back. It also reminds me how much I miss it.
