First few days and a donkey ride
July 15, 2008
We arrived early afternoon luckily, so that was a great time to still have a look around in Petra. Our room needed a little getting used to. It was small, but also not as clean as we're used too. We had to wash the plates and everything, and the floor wasn't really clean either.
We also went to the beach, which was beautiful, but the water felt freezing cold...
There were plenty of restaurants to choose from, there is a whole street with shops and restaurants. And the Greek food is just delicious ^_^
It was cooling down fast in the evening, which was good ;) There also were a lot of bars where you could have a drink.
Main thing is you really feel the easiness on the entire island, no hurries as in other countries, just easy and friendly. Enough time to eat, talk, and just sit. While hear you practically are kicked out as soon as you're done...
