Looks very Roman, reminds me of Berlin and the Arc of Constantine in Italy

America's playground, so they call the city of all sins. I did not know why it was called America's play ground until I actually visited Las Vegas for the first time in early 2004; well I was getting married, ha-ha!! This third visit to Las Vegas was with my dearest girlfriend Agnes; who was kind enough to visit all the way from Uganda. Having been to Las Vegas twice already, the excitement I had was more for my friend and the time we were going to have together. But as always, Vegas sounded good, I get to play, smile! I will not release a lot of information; you know the rule "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"

The excitement in her eyes each time we saw something new was priceless.

Outside of Ceasar's Palace being cheeky
Agnes smiled for three days non-stop. Advice about Vegas: you don't need to gamble to have fun. Well as for me, I work too hard to drop my money on the house. You know what else they say? "The House always wins". I'm no gambler, I know so because each time I have tried, I have lost. Of course each time I have bought a one-dollar power ball ticket and picked the wrong numbers too,(smile!)

On this leg of my Las Vegas travels, my girlfriend and I decided we wanted to dance, together she and I dance like there is no tomorrow. We started with dinner at Circus-Circus, nothing too fancy but the food was great. We returned to the hotel room to freshen up (as you can imagine during the day we had shopped not only for shoes, but clothes too. I will tell you right now there is nothing like two women who like shopping, going shopping together: we spent hours in the fitting rooms of more than 6 shops with in one of the grandest malls in Las Vegas.

Guess what we bought at Dillards? Yes shoes, lol!

Now comes the hard part : choices, 'what do I wear, how does my butt look, this one makes me look fat, the shoes don't match' , do I need lip gloss or lip stick? Should I put on a blush or not etc, etc, etc. At the end of it all, we each returned to the very first thing we chose to wear an hour before (sound familiar to any of the ladies? Yes!)

At a little after eight-thirty, we emerged all dressed up for the night, the cab driver grinning from ear to ear asked where our destination was, I said. The ride was smooth despite the unbelievable traffic. The cab fare was $8.50, but Agnes was feeling generous so she gave him $15.00. Besides he had entertained us as well as advised us on what to DO, rather than what NOT to do, lol! Agnes found that hilarious.

Afraid of being in our photo, lol!
At Rio, we headed for the Casino first, touring the place and watching the faces of losers turn pale and winners jump up and down, others gaping with no words while the bouncers watched careful for those that might cause havoc. The pay stations looked minimally busy, the night was still young so that was to be expected.  About nine-thirty, we headed to the Voodoo lounge at very top of Rio. Entry was $10.00 per person for non-hotel guests. The music was fun with a live band taking requests as well as encouraging guests to sing along.

What was more amazing and intriguing was the outside bar: from the bar, one can see the whole of Las Vegas, the most incredible view at night. While we took our drinks and mingled around, the music played and we joined in the dances. Agnes and I actually met some visitors who came in from Phoenix.

PS: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Mark Twain.
