An Overnight at the MGM Grand Hotel

This was a delightful stop in Las vegas. I never tire of going back to Las Vegas, I find reasons to go there. This time, I talked Mark into letting us break our rather long road trip in Las vegas. Since we had spent a lot of time on the road and 3 nights in Yosemite National Park, I decided we should pamper ourselves a little with a lavish hotel. My initial choice was The Venetian Hotel because I wanted to take the children on the gondola ride, but we were unable to secure a room at the price we had budgeted.

I logged on to Booking.com and found a smart deal for a deluxe double at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. Since Mark had suggested it as one of the Vegas hotels he would like to stay at, we immediately called the hotel and got an even better deal than the one on Booking.com. We were actually in town when we made the reservation, it was about 12:00 noon when we finally got to out room. The room was beautiful, roomy and had most everything except for the microwave and coffee maker. Read my review on the MGM Grand Hotel $ Casino for more information on the hotel/ room.

The rest of the afternnon was spent shopping for my daughter, Mark looiking for a laptop at Fry's electronics and the Gondola Ride at the Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes. I also wrote an independent review on the gondola ride.

PS: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Mark Twain.
