So I finally made it to Halifax. I really did not think this journey through at all did I. I really should have planned it more. Then again, it has been a fun journey in getting here.

When I met Danny, I nearly did not recognise him. In the 2 or 3 years since I last saw him, he had grown around 2 feet and thats not even including his white man's afro! Once I came to terms with this, his mother then took us around town showing me all the sights and giving me insight into the history of the area including the big explosion during world war II and the devastation caused due to the hurricanes a while back.

Back in their home, myself and Danny cooked up a storm on the BBQ while his mother did up a salad for us.

Their home is lovely. Its in an area called Ketch Harbour which is very beautiful. I didn't have time to get out on the water in Danny's mates boat, maybe next time.

That night we headed off to meet Lizzie. Its been a long time since we last met and its from speaking to her that I suddenly thought of going up. She is a lovely girl and great to be around. We chilled in her boyfriends house for the night with her mates which was pretty cool.

The next day I spent the day wandering around the city and met Lizzie in her work, Second Cup. I did try to catch her out by asking for something crazy but she knew all I wanted was a good cup of tea. She certainly delivered on that.

There is a very strong Irish and Scottish feel to Halifax which brought a strong feeling of home to me. It was the first time I though of home since I left and not just my family.
