A Room With A View

As soon as I was able to check out, I was gone. I went straight towards Sacre Coeur to find myself a hostel. Any hostel. It turns out that this was not such the original idea.
Everywhere seemed to be booked out but I did eventually find a decent little spot that had it's fill of "rustic" charm.
I have always wanted to visit this remarkable hill in Paris. The views are amazing. Even more outstanding than the views is the fact that when walking the streets of Montmartre you get the nostalgia factor.
You feel like you are walking the set of a black & white movie.
It was here that I realised that I was in love with Paris and would forever keep on coming back for more and more.
Sitting on the steps of Sacre Coeur overlooking the city of Paris while an old man plays his violin for the 100th time this afternoon with wine coursing through your veins..... life just doesn't get much better than that. The view across the amazing city was breathtaking with sights such as the Arc, Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower all sprouting up from the city scape.
Then again, it did remind me again of how I was travelling on my own, a fact that I had somehow managed to put out of my mind until now. It felt wierd to be away from home all by myself.
The doubts all my friends and family began to dwell on my mind. I knew that time would prove them wrong... eventually...
