Day 1 - Atlanta, Georgia
My brother-n-law Charlie, my nephew Matt, my friends Angela, Theresa, and Brian, and myself left this morning at 6:30am.........we took I-75 north. We stopped at Cracker Barrel at Hwy 98 for some breakfast. We arrived in Atlanta at 2:30pm. We checked in at the Hampton Inn and headed over to a mexican resturant for lunch. Headed back to the hotel to freshen up and it's off to Turner Field for some Atlanta Braves baseball.
It's a hot one here at Turner Field.....heat that is!! It's my Nephew's first time here so we walked around showing him all the sights. A good place to start is head up to the top for the Coca-Cola Sky Box. You get an awesome view of the whole field and downtown Atlanta. They have a Chick-Fil-A cow that can do the Tom-A-Hawk Chop...it's great!!! The atmosphere here is great and you get a good crowd of people. And Friday night is fireworks night...another good show.
If your are staying downtown head to the Undergraound and follow the signs to the Braves shuttle bus. It will let you off across the street from the field. If you drive, get there early and there is lots all around the field and you can park for $10.
The Braves lost to the Brewers 9-0.
