My last day this time in the States :(

It was my last day in the States - at least this time. We left the farm around 10am in order to arrive not to late to Detroit. My flight was at 5:30pm, so we had plenty of time, although we had to drive about 4hrs,  but we wanted to be there early. Also Eric had to drive back home and I didn't want him to drive when it were dark.

We left Mancelona but made a stop to have something for lunch and stretch our legs, well mine aren't long, haha, but I needed to walk, haha. We arrive to Detroit around 3pm, so we had a lot of time to kill. Eric decided to go to a local bar, so I'd be able to try the local beer, hahaha. We didn't have time to go to downtown, so we just stayed at the surroundings.

They didn't look very nice and it was a bit rainy/windy. We went to a bar, which is an istitution in the City. We found a parking spot just in front of it. Perfect! Once there Eric ordered for me the: "Ghetto Blaster". What a name! haha. It was bitter, mmm. Maybe not my favorite, but I wanted to try the local beer, haha. I was still full, but Eric suggested me to order a cup of chili, just to taste it. We shared it and I like it was a bit spicy. Yeah!!! He was telling me the reason he used to go to this bar was the: "The Reason" a sandwich made with pork, haha. He ordered that and I tried a bit. It was tasty, but I'm not a Meat lover haha.

Before knowing it was time to go. We left the place and drove to the airport. The DTW is huge and has nice sculptures. Eric stayed with me until I checked in. Then we sayed "Good Bye". I went through security and looked for my gate. So sad to leave... but I will be coming back in November and hopefully I'd have time to visit the city. Well, we'll see. The long flight back home was getting started...
