After our Grand Canyon stay, we drove to Las Vegas to spend a few days doing nothing else than having fun and laying around at the hotelpool. I really love Las Vegas, it's a great city with many things to do and many possibilities to meet other guys and having a great time.
After three days in Vegas we went further to the Joshua Tree National Park. We first stayed a night in 29 Palms (ja, that's the name of the village) and at the next day we get up very early (at around 7am) to go hiking in the Joshua Tree NP. We did two different hikes that day and we measured the highest temperature at around 46 degrees celsius - wow, that's pretty warm, specially when you have to carry at around a gallon (4.xx liters) of water with you.
The first hike was ok, we saw a lot Joshua trees and it lasted for about 3 hours. But what I recommend to visit is our second hike. That hike goes to place called 49 palms. And, wow, at the real end of the world, only a stony desert around you, there you will find a nice little oasis. This oasis consists of a few palms (may be 49, we didn't count them) and some very interesting animals, like the desert-turtle.
