day22
September 6, 2008
Just a short description of todays travel day. Day 22 will be in our memories as auto (car) day.
We headed still south on our way down to San Francisco, but we only made it to Ukiah and this was a big luck.
First we stopped in Eureka, because we saw something in a parallel street which looked like a market or so. In fact this was an auto-, oldtimer-, dreamcar-exhibition. Have a look at the photos and you will probably find cars like a 1966 Corvette Stringray in a perfect condition and many more (really the who-is-who of the american car history).
In the evening in Ukiah we heard some car noise outside of our motel room. And we followed this noise and found ourselves on the Ukiah motodrome a few minutes later, where a stock car race took place. A great experience.
