I am riding my motorbike from London, UK to home, Adelaide, Australia. I will be heading south to Sicily, Italy and then making way across towards Turkey. Then head down through Iran, Pakistan and India. From there I will try to make it into South East Asia. Hope to put motorbike on a ship from Dili, East Timor to Darwin. Departure Date 4th August 2008.

Albania

Albania, there is a lot to say about a countries roads from its first 100 metres. Lets just say in ABlbania the firstr experience was rocky gravel, and it would be lovely to say it was all up hill from there..... Main road south that we took was nothing more that a very bumpy unpredictable old single lane road that wound itself up and down and around the small mountain ranges that we crossed.

Once we arrived in G place we immediatly got picked up by our new friend Clark. Notr sure if that is a common albanian name. Anyway, we are staying in in family's house in the centre of town and he has acted as our personal guide (more at his Grandma;s  request).

Off to visit the local castle and enjoy some more of the local delicacies. Fried brain, liver and tounge seem to be the more popular dishes.

Ciao,

Amy and Chris

Who would've thought Albania would be so lovely. It isn't a place we hear about as a tourist destination. It is great to hear you are enjoying yourselves and the brains...mmmmmm!!!
