Day 15: Melbourne

It's official... my vacation is now over :-( I'm currently sitting at Tullamarine Airport in Melbourne awaiting my flight back to reality/Bangkok. It's been a long 15 days... I've driven over 3700 kilometers (2300 miles) and seen/done some really memorable stuff... but the bottomline is... tomorrow I'll be back in cubicle hell :-( Anyway... today was fun... I woke up not so early, packed and checked out of my hotel before heading over to Melbourne Park to check out the tennis action at the Australian Open. Now I'm not a tennis buff... but I must say that I now have a new found respect for Tennis... especially Women's Tennis. Man... can those girls play... and most of 'em are NOT ugly. I think the key is to go to the opening day matches... that way you see all the hotties before they get eliminated by the really good, but more mediocre looking chicks... but once again... I digress. So I wandered from this court to that court... trying to catch as many sets as possible... and trying to see if I recognized any of the players. All in all it was an entertaining day at the Open. Afterwards... Claire helped me kill the time I had left by taking me to dinner at an awesome Japanese resturant which served this REALLY GOOD Lime Sake and then forcing me to eat Gelato against my will (so much for my New Year's Resolution).
