Our flight was 1235 noon, and our boarding is around 1215. We got to the gate around 12 Noon Sharp. But i noticed that we haven't been called to board by 1230. That's like 5 minutes! Apparently, We had to go down the stairs to our actual boarding gate. We hurried fast and got to the shuttle bus with a few minutes to spare. We weren't the last ones though. There were like 7 more people who came later than us. The middle-aged thai man who was the last to arrived, we thought was gonna have a heart attack upon boarding the shuttle.
Anyway, we arrived in Krabi an hour later and got settled in Baan Andaman. We booked tickets to the ferry that goes to Koh Phi Phi and Ao Nang that same afternoon and we later on explored this quiet little town until past dinner.... but not before i had to worry and almost cry over my camera, which i accidentally dropped (well it was inside it's bag) while taking pictures infront of the plane. this is what i get for being such a cam-whore. It was a good thing the circular-polarizer filter was the only one that got damaged and not my ultra-wide angle lens.
After that horrible scenario, we spent a few hours walking around the area. Krabi town is not quite touristy and it reminds me so much of the town i grew up in, except that in Krabi, it's more charming and quiet. I also got to find some thai CDs that i have been looking for in a decade! Who would've thought i'd find it here!
While exploring the town of Krabi, joseph and i came across the most annoying person in thailand... ever... well second only to that woman Binky and I encountered in Wat Mahatat in Bangkok. Mr. Motosai. Let's call him that since he is a drives a moto - wearing his vest and that stupid smile. We first encountered him by the entrance of Thara Park.
So we walked to the center of town. We didn't get to have our money changed because of Mr. Motosai. We tried several banks/forex but they were all closed already. While waiting for a ride back home, we hailed a motosai... guess who it was... it was HIM! And he wanted to charge us $100 Baht. We declined. So we walked a little until we found a mall. While deciding if we should enter or just go home, guess who passed by and offered us a ride back to the hotel... yes, Mr. Motosai take three.
I was feeling irritated by his constant stalking so we just entered the mall, ate at KFC and once we got out around 7pm. I waved my hand at a passing motosai to take us to the hotel. By some cosmic reason the motosai I was trying to get was HIM! By this time, I've had it. I mean isn't there any other motosai driver here in Krabi Town?!?
We totally gave up on any motosai. In the end, we walked back to the hotel.
