Upon checking in at the Reflections Rooms, I was floored by the size of the room! it was huge! I think an entire TB meetup can fit in one room. I'm not exaggerating.
Anyway, I got the "Hong Kong Pat" Room for the night (and transfer to the "Bird's Nest" the next day). This Boutique hotel surely is a photographer's dream! I will get into details about the room some other time.
After an hour's rest and some freshening up, it's time to go out under the hot summer sun again. This time we're off to Golden Mountain or Wat Saket. I've never been there before (and so does Vaness... i'm starting to think this local is not much local since i've been to more places in bangkok than he is). I thought the climb up the Temple was gonna be difficult given how hot the weather is, but it wasn't.
We managed to make a quick stop by the bridge along Thanon Boriphat where we ate street food while sitting on the bridge. Walking onwards to Wat Ratchanatdaram & Loha Prasat (impressive structures!) we took some pictures of soldiers and then waited for the sunset there.
Another first for me was riding the khlong taxi to Siam Paragon area. Boy, you have to be fast in jumping on and off the boat, but really i was more worried about the septic water getting on my face.
After another round of refreshments at Paragon we took the train back to Saphan Kwai and walked to Reflections from there. Passing by Big C, guess what I got myself? some pastries from S&P. It just never dies...
In the evening, the hotel allowed me to take pictures of 3 other rooms, all impressive and i want to book them next time i go back to bangkok. Vaness kept me company til late at night and went back in the morning were he found me, yes taking more pictures. this time of Cats outside my room. haha! I think i got around 10Gigabytes worth of shots of just the hotel alone.
