Although Jeff was very happy with his first visit to Dublin last time, however short it was, there was something in the back of his mind that ate away at him slowly everyday...
Last time he got to see the sights, he got to see and hear about a lot of history, he even had his first taste of Guinness which has since become his staple drink. However he felt that he missed out on part of the Irish culture, the stereotypical view of Irish culture and perhaps part of the culture we try our best to claim is merely a stereotype when we truly know in our heart of hearts that there is some level of truth to it.
This time round, we gave the Irish nightlife a thorough look, starting in my local then off to town to get the night off to a good start.
The next morning I woke up to arrange our way to drop Jeff off to the airport and outside my window I saw a thick blanket of snow covering the ground...this meant the flight could well be at risk and even if the flight is still going ahead, we may not make it there in time thanks to the weather! He got home safe and sound, no bother in the end.
Oh and he got there nice and warm thanks to my mother's insistence that Jeff wear one of my brother Stephen's old woolly jumpers. Bear in mind that Ste is over 6 foot and lets face it, Jeff is not...
