Stunning performance!!
After spending 4 days in bustling Shanghai, we decided to extend our trip to the outskirt..Hangzhou. Not being very familiar with the name & place i was not very excited about it. It took us about a 4 hours drive from Shanghai city. Once we were there, the town ( or city ) was much bigger than i expected. What surprised me was the cleanliness of the town. Being the only Chinese not able to understand Mandarin, i had no idea what our tour guide were talking about through out the whole trip..sob sob !! Had to rely on my friends to do the translation for me!
Now i really regretted for not attending Mandarin classes when i was a kid.

The West Lake is undoubtedly the most renowned feature of Hangzhou, noted for the scenic beauty that blends naturally with many famous historical and cultural sites. It is also famous for its Green Tea. Most of the Chinese community who goes to Hangzhou must try the ever sought after  "Dongpo pork". It is a famous Hangzhou dish which is made of stewing five-layered pork. The five layers consist of skin, fat, lean meat, another layer of fat ...probably a few thousand calories haha! Last but not least, one has to see the "Night of The West Lake" acrobatic show where the main attraction is the "Thousand hands of Buddha" ( I think that's what they called it...since i don't understand Mandarin ).

Personally, i think Hangzhou is much more interesting, peaceful, clean & more enjoyable than Shanghai. Two Thumbs up!!
