Day seven, continued
April 19, 2006
Ah, Belgium! I quite like it here.
Brugge is amazingly beautiful. Very different than Canterbury, same century though (17th.) Wonderful old building, just wonderful.
The view from our hotel window is gorgeous. We're overlooking a little lane and a bunch of old houses and a river. J'adore.
We ate at a very nice restaurant earlier. I wasn't very hungry at first but my starter of very tasty vegetable soup rather woke up my appetite.
We passed numerous interesting clothing shops on the way to the main square, as well as some promising-looking chocolatiers. The things are everywhere! One that we passed had all sorts of things made out of chocolate - roller skates, various cats and dogs, dinosaurs, calculators, violins, and, oh yes, chocolate breasts. Mom and I shared a giggle over that one. She took a picture as well.
Off to bed now...
