Wilderness Aware Rafting [1] -- Brown’s Canyon

They provided a continental breakfast and deli lunch.  Sara stayed at their kennel (outside fenced in area, with shade and water -- by herself)

We had a great time rafting (class 3 rapids).  Along our water route, we saw a bighorn ram, birds (including hummingbirds), squirrels, and a wind tunnel (the guide said that it was rare -- looked like a mini tornado moving across the water in front of us)

After our trip down the Arkansas River, we took Sara for a walk along the bank and let her swim -- she enjoyed swimming in place (upstream) in a rapid J

After changing clothes and dropping off Sara at the motel, we ate supper at the Buffalo Bar & Grill.  I ate a trout, rice pilaf, corn, bread, and salad with honey mustard dressing.  Gary ate buffalo steak, baked potato, corn, bread, and salad with blue cheese dressing.  We had water and Canyon Creek Chardonnay to drink.

We took a drive up into the mountains and ended up at Cottonwood Pass (12, 126ft) -- Continental Divide and looked west at the beautiful sunset.

Arriving back at the motel, we let Sara out of the room and went for a family walk.  It got very cool at night.  It rained at night, after we’d gone to bed.

Medical Report:  Gary and I were sunburned.  L
