San Diego, CA - July 13-15, 2008

Rob was headed out to San Diego for work and he had invited me to join him for the week he was going to be there. How could I go. I had to work. Especially since I was going to be gone almost the entire month of August traveling Europe with him and then doing another 3 weeks in Mexico, Central America and Panama. How do I tell my job that I needed another week off from work?

Well, to satisfy the two of us - I decided to head down to San Diego on a Sunday and stay at least one night and head back home the next day - since it's just a HOP, SKIP and a JUMP away from LA!

I couldn't wait to meet all the people that Rob always spoke about. I feel like I know them already, but I was excited and a little frightened to meet them all because what if they didn't like me, what if I got in the way or what if I was just plain weird to them?

The day finally came where I was able to meet Rob's "family" and it was absolutely FANTASTIC!!!! They welcomed me with open arms and they were very kind and gracious! I enjoyed meeting everyone and sharing food, drink and laughter with all of them - had a great 48 hours in San Diego!
