We woke up really early so we could get on the road right away. Our plan for the day was to drive down to Lisbon and stop there for a couple hours to explore and then to head down to Lagos in the Algarve and hit up the beach and find somewhere to spend the night. So we went to the office at 8:30 to check out and pay as that was the time we were told it opens. However, when we got there turns out it doesn't open until 9am so we just hung out in the car until it opened and then we paid.
Getting into Lisbon was really confusing. We didn't really know where we were going and we kept looking for the "Centro" signs to get into the centre. We stopped to get our bearings and then eventually we were headed in the right way.
It was really nice to walk down as all down the centre there were lots of trees with little creeks running down the middle and it was really nice. We walked towards the old town and stopped in some shops along the way. We bought a gift for Pablo and his family as a thank you for letting us stay with them in Cedeira. We then got some food and took the metro back to Marques de Pombal so we could walk back to the car to get on the road again.
Getting out of Lisbon was just as confusing as getting into it. We got back onto the motorway only to soon find out that we were going North instead of South. Gah! So we turned around and finally were in the right direction for Lagos!
