MY 20TH BIRTHDAY IN PARIS!

Happy Birthday to me! Well...not so much a happy birthday to me! We were supposed to get up at 7am so we could get good seats for the parade...yeah that DID NOT HAPPEN! I woke up at 8:30am on the bathroom floor. After eventually making it to my bed I didn't wake up again until 11:30. I have never felt so ill in my whole life. Spent some more quality time with my good friend, the toilet. Well I guess this is what you get for partying a little too hard but oh man was I ill, so ill.
Everyone else got up to go and explore and get some breakfast etc but I couldn't. I could barely move so I just decided to stay in. Hannah brought me some chips to eat but I couldn't. Derek went out to do some exploring on his own and the rest of the group went to that big cemetary that has a lot of famous people in it.
When I finally could move without my head spinning I got up and had a nice long bath just to make my self feel better. Even though I was missing out on some of what Paris has to offer it was pretty nice to just relax and be on my own for a bit when we had been in a huge group for the last two weeks. I then went and got some subway as I just needed something in my stomach.
Eventually they all came back and they had stopped at a big market and bought lots of food and what not to make sandwhiches and stuff for the concert and fireworks at the Eifel tower.
My friend Kyle from highschool who I was going to meet up with in London on the day we left was also in Paris so after many texts we finally mananged to meet up and him and his friend Karen joined us for the concert just before it started at 8pm. It was so crazy to be in Paris with a friend from Highschool back in Maple Ridge. The concert was all right but nothing like last year...I mean last year it was a full on performance by Nelly Fertado!!! This year the only person we had heard of that was performing was James Blunt.
Right after the concert finished we all turned around and the fireworks started up. They lasted about half hour and they were gorgeous! It was such a perfect finish to an amazing day and for my birthday! After they were over we hung out for a bit as we didn't want to be in the huge crowd trying to leave the park. Eventually we left though and even though we waited we were still with the mass crowd.
We didn't really know where to go out to party so we just decided to head back to Bastille Square and go out somewhere there.
We ended up at the exact same bar that Melissa and I were at last year when we were in Paris for Bastille day. It was pretty expensive, about 7 euro for a beer! When we went in he said we could stay and drink all night but then they still kicked us out at 2am. Everywhere else was shutting as well and even the police were out making sure that people weren't drinking any more and that no one was selling any booze.
Lucky us though, we were staying next to a dodgy chinese shop (yes, the same one we ate at the day before lol). We went in and Bondy said he wanted to buy some beers.
Anna, Hannah, Ben, and Ruby had called it a night so Mark, Jeff, Kyle, Derek, and I went and had some drinks in Derek and Jeff's room. I don't think I even finished my beer but I fell asleep. Poor Kyle apparently wanted to go to bed as well but couldn't really do anything as I was sleeping haha. Eventually though I woke up around 5:30 and headed upstairs to go to bed. Apparently Bondy was "right behind me" as he had to leave at 7:30am to catch his coach back to England.
