In the summer of 2006 I had the opportunity to travel, so I decided to do it. (You only live once) Here are some notes I took along the way to remember what happened. I took photos with a 35mm camera, so they are mostly crumby, but there are a few nice ones.

Saw Egyptian monument Templo de Debod
Saw Royal Palace (Palacio Real), the Cathedral crpyt and the Cathedral (Catedral de la Almudena)
Walk back to the same Museo de Jamon for lunch, and extra bagged snack (sanwich, fruit, 33cl can of beer for 2€)
See the Picasso exhibit at Museo del Prado. Adam returns to go into the Royal Palace, while I stay and see the rest of Museo del Prado. (This is my first European museum, so it is quite impressive, and I'm not bored of museums yet)
Many nice paintings by Velázquez, etc.
Then we meet up and go to the botanical gardens (Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid) where we find a tobacco plant, a giant vegetable (that we took a picture of), and some American girls.
Then we went and played some frisbee in an excellent location east of the gardens, and see a nice sunset.
We have a beer on the corner near the hostel, and I use a spanish phone.
