riding up to Orleans
Carl and I took a train out to Orléans yesterday (the day this entry is about haha) because as a good friend of mine said recently, a Louisiana boy couldn't possibly miss it haha. His parents live here and we needed to borrow the car haha. Rather than just spend the day going there and then back to Paris we used it as a reason to go to cathedral in Orléans qnd a couple castles further to the southwest.
After arriving and meeting Carl's parents we left out to explore. Carl had been everywhere we were going so it was nice to have him show me around. Thanks agin my friend.
The two main things I will remember about the cathedral here are the gargoyles and the size of the main doors (see photos). Carl says they only open the doors for special occasions haha.
